This Fourth of July was special celebration for our family. My daughter’s fiancce was home on leave. This is the first Fourth of July they have spent together in the same location. So I sent them out to have fun and take lots of pictures (of course).
For my layout, I started with 2 – 8.5″ x 11″ pieces of Basis Blue Cardstock. I edged it with some red, white, and blue ribbon from my stash.
Next, I used my eClips2 to cut out the fireworks and my title. I used CCS Silver Glitter Cardstock and Basis Red Cardstock. The fireworks die cut is from Miss Kate’s Cuttables. As you can see the silver layer is very detailed. It cut easily once I increased the pressure setting one step (from the heavy cardstock setting on the eClips2). I saved the pieces I removed from the centers to add to my fireworks.
I attached the layers and added some additional silver streamers.
I also cut a shadow layer for my title. Love how the glitter paper sparkles.
Some of the pictures I also matted with the CCS Silver Glitter Cardstock or Currency Cover Silver.
I created a second layout in a 12″ x 12″ layout for my daughter’s book. I left space for her to add her own journaling.
Thanks for checking it out.
