This month’s tag was a great way to wish my husband a
Happy Valentine’s Day……..
To create the background, I started by using a stencil to create a mono print on the tag (see Tim’s technique here ). Then I added added the pink hearts with Candied Apple Distress Ink. Last I added the gold hearts with texture paste and gold embossing powder (see Tim’s technique here).
I was a little impatient, so I didn’t wait for the texture paste to dry before heating the hearts with the heat tool. The hearts puffed up when heated and some even stayed puffy when it cooled. I loved the way it looked on the first tag, so I did it again on this tag.
For the words, I typed out what I wanted it to say using the font Traveling Typewriter. I cut them apart and inked them. For a different effect, I added Glossy Accents to the top of each word.
To finish off the tag I added some stamped words, metal embellishments, a vial label, and ribbon. I love how the tag turned out.
