Love how the tag came out this month. It’s simple but fun.
I stamped the Crazy Birds on the Tissue Tape to create the resist. Then I added Texture Paste with the Flourish stencil. At this point I didn’t think the tag was going to turn out, but I kept working on it.
I used Distress Inks to add my color instead of the stains. Once this step was complete, my tag was starting to come together. I decided to add a touch of color to the Crazy Birds by adding dimensional hats from the Crazy Things stamp set.
I stamped each hat twice and fussy cut them out. The second hat I just cut out the brim. I attached them with glue and pop dots.
For her hat, I also added a gridded ribbon and a small paper rose (made with the Tattered Pinecone die).
To his hat, I added glossy accents on the hatband. I also added glossy accents to their eyes.
I used dictionary pages with the Tattered Pinecone die to create the flowers.
I added a twig for him to stand on.
I typed out my words, inked them with Old Paper Distress ink before attaching them, and created a shadow around my words with a water color pencil.
Thanks for stopping by to check out my Look at Tim’s Tag for May.
