Okay guys…. here is my look at Tim’s tag for October.
I stayed with the changing of the weather, the changing of the leaves and a 3D effect, but went in a little different direction. I didn’t have the monster dies and l love fall colors.
For the background of the tag, I inked it with blues for the sky and greens for the grass. I also added a shadow of the tree in the grass.
I cut out two trees using the Bigz Branch die. I also used the wood texture fade embossing folder on the trees. I glued one tree trunk to the tag. I folded the other one in half and used a staple in the fold to attach at the bottom of the trunk.
I created my leaves by inking both sides of a sheet of regular copy paper. I wanted my leaves to be thin. Then I crumpled and crinkled the paper a couple of times. I flattened out the paper then added brown ink to the ridges.
I was able to cut 4 layers of paper out at a time using the smallest Fall Foliage Thinlets dies. I carefully peeled the leaves apart. I used just one type of leaf on the tree, but mixed a few others in pile around the tree.
To finish it off, I placed a moon in the corner with a little perfect pearls for the glow of the moon. I added my own small words using the American Typewriter font.
I love how it turned out. I have some fall birthdays coming up and I think this would make a great card.
What a perfect fall tag!! Looks amazing!!
Lisa,
I love the leaves. They have a delicate, fragile quality like a real fallen leaf has. I also love what you did with the tree, layering it that way gives it a whole new dimension and look. It is really fun to see how different people interpret things each month. Your’s is very nice, very appealing.
Awesome card! I love your leaves! Love the fall theme vs halloween!
