Lisa’s Look at Tim’s Tag for May 2015

MayTag2015

Here is my look at  Tim’s May tag. I had to look at it for a long time before I could design my own tag.  I used cork for my background. I am not quite fond of found relatives, I wanted my tag to have meaning. So I started with a picture of a wonderful lady who I is dear to my heart.  I printed the picture in black and white just smaller than 2″ x 3″. Then I distressed the edges and added some Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  Purple happens to be her favorite color, so I added purple roses made with the Tattered Pinecone die. She is wearing a tiara, so I tinted the stones with a purple Distress Marker. Next I added some chit chat words to describe her and some metal charms. I really like how it turned out.  If you are interested in making  a tag of your own, stop by or call Cafe Crop to sign up for the class.

I also made a card using the Tattered Pinecone die. I added sparkle with the Wink of Stella clear shimmer marker.

A New Experience…

Being a demonstrator with A Jillian Vance Design has been a fun experience for me. It’s been different being on the other side of the show.

Wednesday was set up day. By the time I arrived, Bunny and Jillian had the walls of the booth set up. Then it was time to unpack the product and get it all hung up. (This was not really new to me, I have had a little experience with this at Cafe Crop.)

After set up, I took a few minutes to get some pictures with Craft Matt. AJVD3 AJVD2

Then I stopped for a quick photo op with Tim Holtz. He was even kind enough to sign my tote bag that I made with some of the Tim Holtz fabrics.

Thursday was busy with make-n-takes. It was fun meeting all the new people.
