I enjoyed recreating Tim’s tag this month. I love the mosaic tile look and have several pieces in my garden. I did not have the mosaic kit available so I created my grout or base.
I used Opaque Texture Paste and a little sand which I mixed until it looked like the right consistency (I guess I was influenced by my dad and grandpa who both did a lot of concrete work).
Then I spread it on my chipboard shapes.
After the grout dried I added bits of colored paper with Multi Medium Matte.
Then I added Glossy Accent to the top of each piece. Just love how the butterfly turned out.
While everything was drying I work on the tag itself.
I used Gathered Twigs Distress Spray for the background tag.
I embossed the top with a floral embossing folder.
Added Picket Fence Distress Paint with a brayer.
I colored it with Distress Stains in Peeled Paint, Shabby Shutters and a little Pine Needles.
I embellished it with some Chit Chat stickers, a piece of film strip and some metal flowers.
