Prickely Pear is All a Flutter

Things are all a flutter with Butterflies over at the Prickley Pear Blog today. The team has worked on a variety of cards using butterflies and a few dragonflies.
I used the Dainty Dragonflies Clear Stamps and Die and Butterflies 2 and Die. I stamped at the images on both paper and a piece of plastic film. I colored them with my Copic markers. I stapled the plastic to the cardstock and covered the staple with Stickles.

I used the Mini Butterfly Clear Stamp Set and Mini Butterfly Die The flowers were stamped on prints made with my Gelli Arts Gel Plate and the butterflies were die cut from papers created with ColorBursts.

Check out the Prickley Pear Blog for additional cards from the rest of the Design Team.

Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps Inspriation Aug 2017

You never really want to need sympathy cards, but it is part of the circle of life. To create this card I used the Tree 2 Die and the Memory Becomes a Treasure stamp. I used the negative space left from die cutting the trees to ink the trees in the background. Using my MISTI,  I was able to split the sentiment between the front of the card and inside.

Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps is Celebrating the Holiday with Stars and Stripes

When thinking of stars and stripes, many people think of red, white and blue. I picked a more colorful palette.  On the 4th of July, hand churned ice cream (we had a hand cranked ice cream maker and everyone took a turn) was always a part of the celebration. So in honor of the tradition I chose the Build an Ice Cream Cone Clear Stamp Set and matching die.

It’s a Celebration at Prickley Pear

You can never have too many birthday cards on hand. This fun card uses the Build a Cupcake Clear Stamp Set and the coordinating die.

On the inside I used VersaMark Ink to create a subtle background paper. To make the card gender neutral I stamped the sentiment with out the flower flourish at the bottom. I also add a small pocket to hold a gift card. Who wouldn’t enjoy receiving this card.

We are sharing some of our projects with featuring the stamps and dies released in May.  These stamps and dies were so much fun to work with. I think the birdhouses and tulips were my favorite.

To create this card I started by stamping the Spring Tulip Large, (masking as needed). Then I stamped the Tiny Tulip (again masking as needed). I created the paper fence mask and taped it over the card. The Large Birdhouses and the Small Birdhouse were stamped next. Leaving the masks in place it inked the background. I used Prisma Colored pencils to color the design.

What a great encouragement card this would make. I used the Cora the Fairy and You Are stamps. I stamped Cora 3 times to create the layers and added Wink of Stella to the wings.

Celebrating Dads with Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps

With Father’s Day only a few days away, today the DT for Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps is celebrating all dads. Here is a card I made for my dad (luckily he is not computer guy, so my secret is safe).

To create the image I stamped the Tools ATC and the Any Man Can stamps on black cardstock with Silver Delicata Ink. I used my MISTI so I could stamp them multiple times.

Prickley Pear May 2017 New Release Day 2

It’s Day 2 of Prickley Pear’s May Release. Lola the Fairy is looking beautiful sitting in a bed of spring flowers. This card would be a perfect thank you card with the You Are Simply the Best sentiment. I layered the wings and added Wink of Stella to the magically look. I even stamped the back with the

I even stamped the back with the bar code Hand Stamped by: stamp.  It’s a fun way to let the recipient know it was hand crafted.

Prickley Pear May 2017 New Release Day 1

I am so excited to be part of the Prickley Pear Rubber Stamp Design Team. This week there are two new clear sets (A Build a Row House Set and a Dainty Dragonfly set!) with their matching dies and  33 new red rubber stamps. There is something for everyone in this release, including adorable animals, fairies (Lola, Cora, Lillian and their pet dragon Della!), beautiful flowers and wonderful word sayings!

I had fun creating this card. I used the Small BirdhouseLarge Birdhouse, Tiny Tulip, and the Spring Tulip Large. To create this look, I made several masks from sticky notes. I think this is one of my favorite projects from this release.
