Christmas in July with Heartfelt Creations

I just love the new Heartfelt Creations “O Holy Night Collection”. These are four of the cards I created for Cafe Crop‘s Release Party card class.

This ornament was created with an acetate layer to create a glass look.

The ladies had a great time creating their cards. They even a had a special guest during class.

I enjoy creating an outfit and decorating for each class.

Flying Flowers with Heartfelt Creations Butterfly Dreams Collection

Here are some of my projects I have finally had time to work on. These are cards created with Heartfelt Creations current release of the Butterfly Dreams Collection.

These cards were created for a class at Cafe Crop in Merrillville, IN.

The background of the first card was created with Ranger’s Distress Oxides. Then Color Bursts were used to paint the butterflies with clear glitter for that sparkle.

The second card the large butterfly was cut out using the matching die. I like how the dies are sized to match many of the images in the papers. A few large peach peonies were added to hide the blank space (left from cutting out the butterfly) and to provide a place for the butterfly to perch.

The last card uses the Decorative Medallion to create at trellis for the flowers to grow on and the butterflies to rest. These were so much fun to create.

Sorry I haven’t posted in a while. It’s been a crazy few months in my world. We have been busy getting our daughter moved to be with her husband, who just happens to be stationed in Hawaii. (Guess where we are planning our next vacation.) I have become a regular at the local post office. Then I needed to finish cleaning, sorting and putting things away. I think we have started to settle into a new normal. I still have a few boxes to ship.

Art from the Heart Handbag and A Garden on the Go

I finished decorating the pocket in the Art for the Heart Handbag I received for Christmas. I had been wanting it for a while. I even almost order it for myself in the fall, but Tina convinced me I didn’t really need it. So I didn’t think anything more about it.

Then right before Christmas, I found a large box on my table at Cafe Crop. I opened it up to find the purse. Tina proceeded to tell me she had had the purse hidden, and hoped I wouldn’t find it. To say the least, I was definitely surprised.

It took me a little while to decide how I wanted to decorate the pocket.

I used the Festive Gate Cling Stamp and Die for my background. I layered 3 gates to create a fence. I covered the fence with Classic Roses and Leaves shaped with the 3D Rose Shaping Mold. Then I added a little butterfly.

I also added a few sentimental charms to the purse. I just love how the purse turned out. It definitely is a conversation piece when I am out and about. Now I have a garden on the go.

I have been using Heartfelt Creations products to create cards and projects for classes each month for over a year at Cafe Crop in Merrillville, Indiana. I love sharing my love of creating flowers with our customers. It is so fun to hear them say when done, how easy it is to create the flowers.

Here are some pictures of the projects I submitted with my application.

This is a travel case ready to be filled with trinkets or chocolate.

A carnation card with baby’s breath.

For the third project, I created a Lush Lilac Tunnel Card/Book with the 6″ x 6″ Layered Circle Card. I layered the card in reverse from smallest to largest.

For those in the Northwest Indiana area, I will be teaching this as a class on March 7th at 6 pm and March 8th at 11 am at Cafe Crop in Merrillville, Indiana.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my projects. Excited to get started on my next set of projects.

Tropical Paradise Layered Card with Heartfelt Creations

Dreaming of a tropical paradise here in the Midwest. I am beginning to get tired of the cold, and rain. Wouldn’t this Tropical Paradise 3D layered card brighten anyone’s day.

I started with the Heartfelt Creations Tropical Paradise Paper Collection, a 6″ x 6″ Layered Circle Cards in Kraft, the Tropical Paradise Cling Stamp Set and Die, the Palm Tree and Monkey Cling Stamp Set and Die, and the Botanical Rose Cling Stamp Set and Die.

The stamped images were colored with Copic Markers. The flowers were stamped on colored cardstock and the edges were inked with Distress Inks.

Heartfelt Creation’s Festive Holly Flip and Fold Album

Christmas is one of my favorite time of the year and Heartfelt Creations Festive Holly Collection just beautiful.  I fell in love with it and used it to create my first Flip and Fold album. I picked 2 sets of inserts and studied the paper carefully until it spoke to me. This is the first pages with a pocket to hold cards or photos. There is another similar pocket on the back pages.

This is the cover with a fold down pocket. I cut the side flaps off of the pocket and closed it with a small velcro dot. I added  ribbon to keep the album closed once it is filled with Christmas memories.

Throughout the album I tried to utilize the scenes on the 12X12 papers. Here the forest scene opens up to additional space for photos along with a pocket in the flap.

Another set of pages with a flap the lifts up with space for memories on both sides.

Additional tiered pockets for journaling cards and photos.

I am looking ahead to my next album.

Creating with Heartfelt Creations Dogwood Flowers

I have been using the Heartfelt Creations Stamps, Dies and Papers since since January 2017. One of my favorite to work with are the Dogwoods because they are so versitle. Flowers can be created with one or more layers. They also are great when created with vellum.

Here I recycled a heart shaped tea box. I first covered the box with paper from the collection. I stamped, die cut and colored the flowers using Distress Inks in Shabby Shutters and Abandoned Coral. For the leaves I used Peeled Paint. I even inked the back of the flowers.

I rolled some of the petals around the stamens to create a few flower buds. I added the dove, with an extra wing for dimension. I added clear glitter to the flowers and the dove.

Here are a few other cards I created with the Dogwood Stamps and Dies. These were stamped with white pigment ink and embossed with white embossing powder.
